About Agor AI

What is Agor AI?

Agor AI is an AI consultancy that helps organizations turn generative and agentic AI into real operational value. We design, build, and deploy custom AI systems — from autonomous agents and chatbots to automation pipelines and analytics — and then stay involved to make sure they actually get adopted. We're led by founder Ariel Agor, who also writes and speaks on AI's impact on human agency and decision-making.

What services does Agor AI provide?

Four core areas: AI automation (intelligent agents that handle repetitive workflows), custom chatbots and voice assistants (for customer service, sales, and internal support), data and analytics (turning raw data into decisions with AI-powered analysis and predictive models), and full-stack AI solutions (end-to-end strategy, architecture, build, and integration). Most engagements blend several of these.

What makes Agor AI different from other AI agencies?

Three things. We build for outcomes, not demos — a slick prototype that never ships is worthless, so we design for adoption and measurable results from day one. We're model-agnostic — we pick the best AI for each job rather than reselling one vendor's stack. And we bring a point of view: our founder has written two books on working with non-human intelligence without surrendering human judgment, which shapes how we keep you in control of the systems we build.

Is Agor AI a software product or a consulting firm?

A consultancy that builds. We're not an off-the-shelf SaaS you log into — we architect and build custom AI systems around your specific workflows, data, and goals, then deploy them into your environment. You get something tailored to your business, not a generic tool you have to bend your processes around.

Who is behind Agor AI?

Agor AI is founded and led by Ariel Agor, who works at the intersection of AI strategy and implementation. He's the author of Remaining Subject and The Weight of the Answer, two books on agency and judgment in the age of AI. Engagements are principal-led, so you work directly with senior expertise rather than being handed off to junior staff.

AI Agents, Chatbots & Automation

What kinds of AI agents and chatbots do you build?

Customer-facing support and sales agents, internal assistants (HR, IT, operations, knowledge search), lead-qualification and booking agents, document and data-processing agents, and voice assistants. We tailor each to your tone, your knowledge base, and the specific actions it's allowed to take.

What's the difference between a chatbot and an AI agent?

A traditional chatbot answers questions and routes you to a human. An AI agent gets work done — it can look up an order, process a refund, book an appointment, update a record, or escalate intelligently when needed. We build agents that resolve issues end-to-end, not just deflect them.

Can your AI agents take real actions, or just answer questions?

They take real actions. By connecting agents to your systems (CRM, calendar, order management, ticketing, databases) through secure integrations, they can complete tasks — scheduling, updating records, triggering workflows — within guardrails you control. This site's own assistant, for example, can check the calendar and book a consultation live.

Can your agents handle voice, not just text?

Yes. We build real-time voice agents that hold a natural spoken conversation with full feature parity to text — the assistant on this very site has a voice mode you can try right now. Voice agents can answer phones, qualify leads, and complete the same actions as their text counterparts.

How do you handle AI “hallucinations” and accuracy?

We ground agents in your actual content and data (retrieval-augmented generation), constrain what they're allowed to say and do, and add verification steps for high-stakes answers. We test against real scenarios before launch and monitor live conversations after. When an agent isn't confident, it's designed to say so or hand off — not to guess.

What happens when the AI can't answer or a customer needs a human?

Graceful handoff is part of the design. Agents recognize when a request is out of scope, sensitive, or low-confidence and route it to the right person with full context, so the customer never has to repeat themselves. You set the rules for when that happens.

Will the AI sound like our brand?

Yes. We tune tone, vocabulary, and personality to match your brand, and constrain the agent to your policies and approved messaging. The goal is an assistant that feels like a natural extension of your team, not a generic bot.

Can your AI work in multiple languages?

Yes. Modern language models handle dozens of languages well, so agents can serve a global audience and switch languages mid-conversation. We validate quality in each language you care about before going live.

Which channels can your agents work across?

Web chat, voice and phone, email, and messaging platforms like SMS, WhatsApp, and Slack — plus embedding directly into your app or internal tools. We meet your customers and team where they already are.

Working Together

How does a typical engagement work?

We run engagements as clear, staged pipelines: discovery (understand the problem, data, and success metrics), design (architect the solution and define guardrails), build (develop and test against real scenarios), deploy (launch into your environment), and optimize (monitor, measure, and improve). Each stage has defined deliverables, so you always know where things stand.

How long does a typical project take?

It depends on scope. Focused automations or a single chatbot can ship in 2–4 weeks. Comprehensive, multi-system AI transformations typically run 2–4 months. We give you a detailed timeline during the initial consultation, and we favor shipping a useful first version early over a big-bang launch.

Do I need technical expertise or an in-house engineering team?

No. We handle the technical complexity. Our job is to translate AI capability into something your team can actually use — with clear strategy, training, and documentation — so you're never dependent on jargon to make good decisions.

What do you need from us to get started?

Access to the relevant knowledge (help docs, policies, data, or the systems the AI will use), a point of contact who understands the workflow we're improving, and clarity on what success looks like. We guide you through gathering all of it — you don't need to prepare anything technical in advance.

Who owns the AI system and code you build?

You do. Custom work we build for you is yours. We document it and, where you want, hand off everything your team needs to run and maintain it independently. We're not interested in lock-in.

Can you work with our existing tools and systems?

Almost always, yes. We integrate with the CRMs, databases, help desks, calendars, and internal tools you already use rather than asking you to rip and replace. Where a clean API exists, integration is straightforward; where it doesn't, we find a pragmatic path.

Do you provide ongoing support after launch?

Yes. Every project includes 30 days of post-deployment support, and we offer retainer packages for ongoing monitoring, optimization, and new features. AI systems improve with real-world use, so many clients keep us on to keep tuning and extending what we built.

Will AI replace our employees?

Our approach is augmentation, not replacement. We target the repetitive, high-volume, low-judgment work that drains your team's time so people can focus on the work that actually needs them. Done well, AI raises your team's leverage rather than removing them from the loop — keeping humans in control of the important decisions is a core principle of how we build.

Pricing & ROI

What's the investment range for your services?

Focused automation projects typically start around $15,000. Larger, enterprise-grade transformations range from roughly $50,000 to $250,000+ depending on scope, integrations, and complexity. We offer flexible structures and can scope an engagement to fit a range of budgets — and we'll be transparent about cost during the strategy call.

How do you price engagements?

Most work is priced per project against a defined scope, with retainers for ongoing support and optimization. Where it makes sense, we'll align pricing to the outcomes you care about. You'll always have a clear scope and price before any work begins — no surprise invoices.

How do you measure success and ROI?

We define success metrics with you up front — things like resolution rate, hours saved, response time, conversion, or cost per interaction — and instrument the system so you can see them. If we can't articulate how a project pays for itself, that's a signal we shouldn't build it yet.

Is the strategy call really free?

Yes. The initial strategy call is free and consultative. We'll discuss your goals, assess where AI can genuinely help (and where it can't), and outline a path forward. There's no obligation to proceed.

Data, Security & Privacy

How secure is my data?

Security is foundational, not an afterthought. We apply encryption in transit and at rest, principle-of-least-privilege access, and secure handling of credentials and secrets throughout every system we build. We scope each implementation to your organization's security requirements.

Do you use our data to train AI models?

No. Your proprietary data stays yours and is not used to train foundation models. We build on the enterprise and business tiers of model providers whose terms contractually prohibit training on your data, and we architect systems so your sensitive information is used only to serve your application.

Which AI providers do you use, and where does our data go?

We work with leading providers — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and xAI, plus high-quality open models — and choose based on your needs. We're transparent about which providers touch your data, use enterprise API tiers with strong data protections, and can constrain data flows (including keeping sensitive data in-region or on infrastructure you control) when your requirements call for it.

Can you meet our compliance requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2)?

We design and build to align with the regulatory and compliance frameworks your business operates under, including data-privacy regimes like GDPR and sector rules like HIPAA. We map your requirements during discovery and architect the solution — data handling, retention, access controls, audit logging — to meet them.

Can AI be deployed in our own environment or private cloud?

Yes, when your requirements call for it. We can deploy within your cloud account or private infrastructure and, for the most sensitive cases, design around self-hosted or open models so data never leaves your perimeter. We'll recommend the right architecture for your risk profile.

Technology & Models

Which AI models and platforms do you use?

We're model-agnostic and use the best tool for each job — frontier models from OpenAI (GPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), and xAI (Grok), as well as capable open-source models when they fit. We routinely combine models in a single system, routing each task to whichever performs best.

Are you locked into one AI vendor?

No — and we keep you from being locked in either. Building model-agnostic means we can swap the underlying model as performance, price, or your needs change without rebuilding the whole system. You stay free to follow the best technology rather than one vendor's roadmap.

The AI landscape changes constantly — won't what you build be outdated quickly?

We architect for change. By separating your business logic and data from the underlying model, we make it straightforward to adopt newer, better, or cheaper models as they arrive. That's the point of a model-agnostic design — your investment compounds instead of expiring.

Do you build with the latest frontier models?

Yes. We work with the current generation of leading models and adopt new releases quickly once they prove themselves. We balance cutting-edge capability with reliability — the newest model isn't always the right one for production, and we'll tell you when a proven option serves you better.

Industries & Use Cases

What industries do you work with?

We work across sectors — including healthcare, finance, e-commerce, manufacturing, and professional services — and tailor each solution to the workflows, data, and compliance requirements of your industry. The underlying patterns (automation, agents, analytics) transfer; the specifics are always custom.

What size companies do you work with?

From agile startups to established enterprises. The right scope differs — a startup might want one high-leverage automation, an enterprise a multi-system transformation — but both benefit from a pragmatic, outcome-first approach. We size the engagement to where you are.

Can you share examples of your work?

Yes. Our portfolio and case studies cover representative engagements across automation, AI-native systems, pattern recognition, and transformation architecture. We're also happy to walk through relevant examples on a strategy call.

Books & Thought Leadership

Tell me about the books.

Founder Ariel Agor has written two books on AI and human agency. Remaining Subject: A Practice Architecture for Coherent Agency in the Age of Non-Human Intelligence introduces “representational capture” and a framework for staying in control as AI grows more capable. The Weight of the Answer: Who Gets to Decide When No One Is Thinking follows that question into the machine through sustained adversarial dialogue with AI systems. Both are available on Amazon.

Does Ariel speak, advise, or run workshops?

Yes. Beyond client builds, Ariel speaks and advises on AI strategy, agentic systems, and the human side of AI adoption. If you're looking for a talk, workshop, or advisory engagement rather than (or alongside) a build, reach out and we'll find the right format.

What's your philosophy on AI?

That the goal isn't to adapt to AI as fast as possible, but to deploy it without surrendering judgment. We build systems that increase human leverage and keep people as the decision-makers — capable, accountable, and in control. It's a more demanding standard than “automate everything,” and it's the one we hold ourselves to.
